Elizabeth Weglein is an ink illustrator and surface designer based in Philadelphia. She specializes in detailed ink illustrations and patterns with coastal themes.
Growing up in rural Baltimore county, Elizabeth was always inspired by the outdoors and loved to draw animals and landscapes. Her love of art continued to grow as she tried different media from colored pencils, to markers, pastels, acrylic paints, and more. In middle school, her interest shifted to fashion design and illustration, ultimately leading to a degree in apparel design from the University of Delaware.
After college, she shifted back into a love for art and the creative process. She learned how to translate her designs for a variety of products on print-on-demand platforms, and how to create repeat patterns. These new opportunities lead to art prints licensed by HomeGoods, custom patterns for packaging for Jane Win, a wallpaper installation for an event at Reading Terminal Market, and more!
Today, Elizabeth’s work combines detailed ink illustrations with digital colors to create vibrant illustrations and patterns. Beyond coastal themes, she loves illustrating food, architecture, and all things inspired by her travels. In May of 2026, Elizabeth self published her first coloring book, “In The Pantry”, which now has over 200 copies sold!
When she’s not working on her next project you can find her knitting, cooking, planning a trip, biking, or simply spending time outside!
